The angels at Christmas declared that Jesus’ birth would bring us peace. In a divided world, with complicated families and stressful schedules, we still need that gift. Throughout the Christmas season, we will talk about how Jesus can help bring peace to all aspects of our lives. From our inner spirit to outward relationships, Jesus can resolve tension, reduce stress, heal relationships, and bring us peace.

Give to Mozambique

For more than thirteen years, The Gathering has come together every Christmas Eve to do something remarkable — give away 100% of our offering to build clean water wells in Mozambique.

This year, The Gathering’s partnership with the people of Mozambique is evolving. We’re still giving away 100% of our offering, but gifts will fund and build a Mother and Infant Health Center.

In many areas, women walk miles for prenatal care, sometimes waiting hours or even days for basic exams. Many give birth in overcrowded or unsafe environments, and complications that would be treatable in the U.S. can become life-threatening.

The brand new Mother and Infant Health Center will serve hundreds of surrounding villages, offering essential care that many women currently don’t have access to.

To build the center, we need to raise $350,000 on Christmas Eve. As you prepare for the season ahead, we invite you to reflect, pray, and consider how you can participate. What an incredible way to celebrate the birth of Jesus - giving the gift of new life mothers and newborns in Mozambique.
